Inpatient Acute Care and Outpatient Care
Audiology specializes in the assessment and treatment of hearing loss or balance problems. First, audiologists determine whether your hearing is within the normal range. If hearing loss or a vestibular abnormality is found, they will provide recommendations to provide you with maximum benefits.
MacNeal’s Adult Services
- Comprehensive hearing evaluation using advanced digital technology
- Hearing aid dispensing and repair
- Complete vestibular/balance evaluations and rehabilitation in conjunction with the Physical Therapy Department
- Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing to evaluate retrocochlear function
MacNeal’s Pediatric Services
- Comprehensive hearing evaluation using a variety of tools and techniques
- Hearing aid dispensing and repair for older children (generally 10+)
- Re-testing for children who fail their newborn hearing screening
