I interviewed at many family medicine programs in different areas of the country and am so happy with my decision to go to MacNeal! In my opinion, this program has the best of everything. The faculty are wonderful- both supportive and great teachers-, the program is strong in all areas of family medicine, and the population is diverse and very appreciative. We get a lot of support from the staff at the hospital and have great teaching from specialists in addition to our family attendings. I did a rotation here as a fourth year and saw that the residents are all very caring and friendly- people that I would like to work with and become friends with over the next three years. Out of all of the programs I interviewed at, I feel that MacNeal was the most well-rounded and the program that would prepare me the best for my future in family medicine. My current interests include women's health, adolescent medicine, behavioral medicine, and medical education. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and boyfriend, reading, shopping, running, going to new restaurants and doing anything outdoors. Chicago has a ton to offer!
