Breastfeeding provides the perfect nourishment to help your baby grow strong and healthy. Learn what you can do to prepare for breastfeeding before your baby is born and how to get off to a good start. You’ll also learn how to manage feedings while maintaining an active lifestyle as well as pump and store breastmilk. Expectant fathers are welcome and encouraged to attend. Because of our commitment to breastfeeding, there is no fee for this class. This class is also offered in Spanish.

All classes require prior registration and take place at MacNeal Hospital. Classes should be attended during the 3rd trimester (last 12 weeks) of your pregnancy. We encourage you to register for classes several weeks prior to the class date or at any time during your pregnancy.

A class may be cancelled due to lack of registration. Please stop by the Outpatient Registration Desk or Oak Park Lobby for directions to classrooms.
