Lung Cancer Care

Lung cancer is the second most common cancer treated at Vanguard MacNeal.

Vanguard MacNeal medical oncologists, thoracic (lung) surgeons, radiation oncologists and pulmonologists (lung doctors) work closely together to ensure patients receive the best treatment or combination of treatments for their individual situation.

As part of your care team, you will see a medical oncologist from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) working exclusively at Vanguard MacNeal. These physicians have access to many clinical trials of new treatments and protocols. If you qualify for participation in a clinical trial, your Vanguard MacNeal physician will discuss this with you.
