Schwartz Center Rounds is a multidisciplinary forum where caregivers discuss difficult emotional and social issues that arise in caring for patients. Since 2007, caregivers at Vanguard MacNeal Hospital have been meeting every other month to discuss a topic that is helpful. The group is led by a facilitator and a panel presents on the selected topic. The Schwartz Center Rounds act as a reminder of how to practice good, compassionate medicine. Topics have included:
